Dr.Dhivya Ashokkumar completed her ophthalmology residency from All India Institute of Medical sciences.She is currently working as consultant in Dr.Agarwal’s Eye Hospital and Eye Research Centre (Center of Excellence), Chennai, India. Her region of specialities are Oculoplasty, oncology and Uvea. She has immense interest in research, innovative methods and learning skills. She has published her reports in various journals and conferences. She had the opportunity to do various trials under the guidance of her mentor Prof. Amar Agarwal, which has been published in various international journals and books. Currently, she is in research related to uveal inflammation, ocular surface neoplasia,anterior segment optical coherence tomography. Some of her innovations include HELP algorithm for descemt’s detachment in pseudophakic eyes, Novel OCT guided posterior subtenon injection, Anterior segment based uveitis cellular classification and IOL tilt analysis. She also reported the Mouse sign in inverse rotation of corneal endothelial graft on OCT and semilunar sign in cornea in scleritis. She is also the faculty in national board of examinations and coordinator for Kalpavriksha teaching program for post graduates. She has been recipeient of ASCRS film festival award, AIOS Narsing Rao award, IIRS innovator award etc… She has also authored more than 40 chapters in 19 books.
